For partners – Claim settlements
As a partner, how do I proceed in case of damage?
As a partner of Real Garant, please report any damages to our Claims department. You can send this message either by email or fax. Our specialists will gladly assist you with a personal telephone call and, in the case of warranty coverage, issue a repair authorisation. You will find our contact information here.
How is a claim settled abroad?
In case of damage while abroad, please inform us of any necessary repairs before beginning repair work. We will determine the following course of action. You can send a damage report either by email or fax.
What information should I have ready when filing a claim?
We need exact technical findings regarding any damaged parts as well as a detailed listing of anticipated costs. Our Claims department will request further documentation, if necessary.

Are you look for forms to transfer a warranty, add a user, report damage or deliver a vehicle?
How much time do I have after delivery to secure a warranty?
You should acquire a warranty within a period of three days following delivery. An appointed Area Sales Manager can assist you. You will find their contact information here.
Would you like to extend a warranty?
To do so, first consult your fee schedule to determine whether your warranty programme has an extension option. If it is possible to extend the warranty, 30 days prior to your warranty’s expiration an “extend” button will appear. This button is used to create the extension – you have only to enter the current mileage, select and save the extension programme, and you are finished. The prerequisite, of course, is that you have inspected the vehicle beforehand and not found any defects.
Where can I order warranty covers or warranty booklets?
Warranty covers can be ordered through our WMS under Support – request warranty covers.
How do I cancel my warranty?
To cancel a warranty, you must fill out the appropriate form. You will find this form in our WMS
Can I equip my vehicle with a warranty if it doesn’t adhere to the approved guidelines?
In principle, this is possible in exceptional cases. Each enquiry must be evaluated on an individual basis. Complete the following steps: In order to prevent longer waiting times for your customers, upon receiving the vehicle, enter the vehicle into givit WMS and request approval. If you do not yet have a customer, simply enter X. Please remember to click on the envelope icon in the field below as well, so that your enquiry is sent to us. After our specialists examine the information you provide, you will receive our decision by email.

How much does warranty insurance cost?
The costs of warranty insurance depend on different factors, such as the warranty’s duration, scope and the mileage covered.
What does warranty insurance cover?
The scope of a warranty is determined individually and may be found in the warranty terms and conditions. Please check your warranty conditions for more information.
Is warranty insurance also valid abroad?

My car has been damaged, what should I do?
In case of damage, please contact your dealership as the warrantor and discuss how to proceed.
How is a claim settled abroad?
If you are abroad when damage occurs, please notify your dealership before initiating repairs. After speaking with the dealership, we will take care of everything else.
What information should I have ready in case of damage?
If a workshop inspection hasn’t yet occurred, please have your warranty agreement ready. If your vehicle has already been examined by a workshop, have the workshop contact our Claims department directly.

What should I do, if I want to sell a vehicle that is covered by a warranty from Real Garant?
Please read your warranty terms and conditions. If you are in doubt, please contact your dealership with the purchase contract at the ready (which is required as proof in a private sale), since in some cases dealers must give their consent to transfer a warranty. If the dealer’s consent is not required in the warranty terms and conditions, you can submit your warranty transfer and the sale contract directly to us. Please note that the warranty expires if you trade in your vehicle at a dealer/reseller.

Can I obtain a warranty directly through Real Garant?
Purchasing a warranty directly from Real Garant is not possible. We partner exclusively with car/motorcycle dealerships as warranty insurers and/or service providers.
How can I extend my warranty?
You can only extend your warranty through your dealership. Please contact them.
What should I do if my address has changed?
Please report your change in address to your dealer or our Customer Service department.
